Improvising Folk Songs: An Inclusive Indeterminacy

چکیده

Folk Song Lab uses interactive group sessions to explore different ways by which improvisation stimulates an attitude towards the song it is understood as a cognitive framework that recreated singer in performance moment. It takes its point of origin certain conceptual qualities found traditional folk and improvisation, stimulated using flow-inducing concepts (Csikszentmihalyi 1990. Flow: The Psychology Optimal Experience. New York: Harper Collins.) such risk, mimicry, play reorientation, interpreted musical terms without written instructions. This empirical study particular developed improvisational methods reflecting songs’ frames. project raises questions regarding influence time relation how creativity flow appear during improvising sessions. Some explored project, mirror singing, might be related neuroscientific findings function mirror-neurons, hence possibilities for conceiving human collective way.
